After working for several years, I start to feel the working culture here is changing. Maybe it's due to the reorganization held recently; maybe it's due to the fast growth last year. No matter what the root cause is, it seems to me that the trend is moving toward a worse direction, a more chaotic situation. As a small part of the system, I can only observe it, hear comments and rumors from others, but can't do anything about it nor figure out a good way to improve it. Some of the senior colleagues are leaving for unknown reasons. The atmosphere in the office seems not so good. How long can I still tolerate this environment?
Haven't been to my old school for quite a while. Seems everything's changed there. New buildings were built; Roads were transformed into sidewalks with benches here and there. The whole campus is more like a tourist spot during the weekends. Parents will bring their children here to enjoy the spacious squares, especially the one in front of the new library building. The famous festival of Rhododendron that used to only belongs to students are now a public event; each citizens can enjoy the blossoms no matter whether you are studying here or not. Some buildings were like museums, exhibiting different subjects from time to time. It's great to have a place like this that everyone can escape from the noisy daily life and get a small piece of quietness.
