在馬賽的第二天，早上起個大早，從車站慢慢散步到市區偏北的一個大公園Palais Longchamp。公園入口是個大水池，水池的另一端則是雕像和上去小山坡的階梯。兩旁還有一排排的石柱。到達公園時發現，早上光線是逆光的，所以由水池往雕像的方向拍去，天空會白掉。雕像的線條也沒有辦法很好地表現出來。



所以我只好先四處走走，心裡盤算著下午要再來一趟的打算。到了下午五點多時，再回到這兒，果然光線完全到位，該白的地方白，該藍的地方藍。除了景色變好看以外，公園裡的人也變得超級多。一堆家長帶著小孩到草坪上嘻戲，也有很多學生一起在公園裡看書晒太陽。儘管太陽很大，晒在身上久了也不會讓人有黏黏的感覺。我也入境隨俗地在一旁的長椅上拿出我的SONY Reader，假裝認真的唸了一下Ajax Programming。

VirtualWin，從yungyunc的網誌看來的小玩意兒，可以讓Windows也有多個虛擬桌面。
用慣Linux的人，應該都對於Virtual Desktop不陌生，
到了Windows下，光是一個桌面得要擺上多個視窗，常常會覺得鱉手鱉腳的。

試用了一下VirtualWin，發現它的運作速度很快。
至於記憶體使用量，聽說也很小，但對我來說，反正不要吃太多就好了。

切換桌面的快速鍵是可以自訂的，
還有些細項可以設定，彈性很高。
所以，這個程式應該會在我的Windows上待好一段時間吧。

Add Global Hotkeys for OnlineDic on Windows platform

到馬賽沒上伊芙島，大概算不上是到過馬賽吧。不過伊芙島卻一點兒也不吸引我。來回的船票要十歐，上了島，還得一定要再交五歐參觀Chateau d'if才行。(如果有買馬賽一日周遊券的話，會比較划算，因為20歐裡面便包含了來回船票，城堡門票，還可以參觀很多市區內的博物館，一日的交通票，Tram，地鐵，巴士坐到爽，還可以坐上山的市區觀光小火車)。可惜我發現有一日券的時間太晚了，所以沒來得及買。

從伊芙島往陸上看去，海的顏色是漸層的，很夢幻。很多家庭拿著食物，就在城堡四周野餐起來，完全不介意這曾經是個關犯人的地方。小時候看過的"基度山恩仇記"早就忘光了，所以不大體會得到被關在這兒的痛苦。

from long time ago, I've kept trying to add supports of global hotkeys for onlinedic; however, it's always in vain. Tonight, I finally found a way to achieve it!!! (though it only works for Windows platform) Why didn't I find the API earlier, I keep wondering....

This feature is supported by wxWidgets. As consequences, it's been ported to wxPython too. Actually it's quite easy. All I need to do is to invoke RegisterHotKey provided by Frame.

The usage of the parameters are rather obvious. The last two parameters should be filled in by definitions from win32con. If you don't have installed win32 extension, you can just find out the right definitions you want to used by the second following references.

Once you want to quit the program, you have to unregister the hotkey:

Disable Photo Import in Ubuntu

馬賽的道路有不少高低起伏的路段，還有很多單行道。在巷弄間開車應該很容易迷路吧。

Every time I insert a SD card ( or CF card) into my Linux box, it shows up a "Photo Import" dialog to ask me if I want to import photos directly. However, I never used this function, so it turns out to be nothing more than an annoying notification.

To my surprise, it's quite easy to turn it off (though you have to know how to do it). From the command-line, call gnome-volume-properties to set up attributes. One of the checkboxes is to allow you turn on/off this feature. Uncheck it, and it's done. No more un-necessary pop-ups. :)

最近拉法葉百貨在走亞洲風Asiatic，每次經過時，都會看到櫥窗裡擺飾著各式各樣看似熟悉，卻不三不四的亞洲文化。上面這張賭，我實在是想不通它想表達的是什麼。表示亞洲人好賭嗎？還是想說紅配綠很不錯呢？說到賭，美國的拉斯維加斯不是更加有名嗎？

這一張算是比較有型的服飾，不過在我看來還是很不倫不類呀。頭上頂著羅納多的一小撮頭髮，兩顆過份誇飾的彩球；手肘套著忍者或日本武士的護肘；一手抱著Hello Kity，一手拿著一把漫畫裡才會出現的長刀；身上還側背著看來只是裝飾用的小包包。這就是法國人眼中的日本文化？會不會漫畫看太多了啊。

這次出門，帶了SONY Reader，想要在尼斯的海灘上，好好地享受一下一邊看書一邊晒太陽的悠閒生活。不過，實際上還是沒有這種富貴命。SONY Reader都是在坐車時或是晚上回到青年旅館時才拿出來看的。為了怕看小說太悶，看不久，特地帶了本Pragmatic Ajax。久聞Ajax大名，但很久懶得碰跟Web有關的程式設計（因為還要設定Web Server，我太懶了），所以一直沒有深入了解過。

這次倒是藉由看這本書，對Ajax有了基本的了解。這本書有點舊了，所以書中提到的toolkit或是知識，都是比較早期，Ajax出來沒多久時的概況。這幾年，Web Programming的進展應該又日進干里了吧。改天再來複習一下javascript，說不定可以也為firefox寫個自己合用的extension。 :)

法國南部定焦之旅

這次出遠門，捨棄了笨重的相機袋，一切從簡。

除了必要的換洗衣物和睡袋外，只帶了Olympus E510+50mm和Ricoh GRD。

Ricoh GRD順理成章地成了這次旅行的主力。

儘管照片右上角還是會有因為入塵而造成的黑影，它的表現還是很稱職。

28mm跟100mm(50mm x 2)的組合，省去了換鏡頭的麻煩。

行李的減少，也讓我更加能享受旅行的樂趣，而不是被相機壓著走。

SONY Clie TH55 surfing on the net

This trip, I reduced all the things I have to put in the backpack, which excluded notebooks, recharger for my DSLR, extra clothes (c'est le sud〜〜), As consquences, TH55 is the only device that I can use to surf the net. As a basic surfer, he's well qualified. He can even bring me to the MSN. What can I expect more from him? I successfully uploaded a photo that I took in Vallence to flickr. However, I can't get the image location to edit my blog. Next time, I should leave my PDA at home too. It's sometimes painful to connect to the REAL WORLD. So many unhappiness.

C'est une vie totallement differente que Laquelle d'Annecy. Il fait trop chaud et il y a beaucoup de soleil. Je vais ecrire plus quand je rentrerai a Annecy. En effet, c'est pas tres facile d'ecrire avec mon PDA a la toillet. :)
